What is an AI voice agent?
An AI voice agent is a software system that conducts real, spoken phone conversations on behalf of a business. Unlike a phone tree or IVR (interactive voice response), an AI voice agent understands natural language — it listens to what a caller says, interprets their intent, and responds conversationally, just like a human receptionist would. WildRun AI voice agents can answer questions, book appointments, qualify leads, and transfer callers to the right person, all without any human involvement.
How is this different from a phone tree or IVR?
A phone tree forces callers to press numbered keys and navigate rigid menus. If a caller says anything unexpected, it breaks. An AI voice agent understands natural speech — a caller can say anything they would say to a human receptionist, and the agent responds intelligently. WildRun agents hold two-way conversations, handle unexpected questions, and adapt in real-time. There are no menus, no 'press 1 for billing', and no frustrated callers hanging up.
Can the AI sound natural?
Yes. WildRun agents use the most advanced voice AI available, producing voices that are indistinguishable from human speech in terms of naturalness, pacing, and tone. You choose from multiple voice profiles during the setup process — different genders, accents, and vocal styles — and approve the voice before the agent goes live. Most callers cannot tell they are speaking with an AI unless the agent discloses it.
What happens when someone asks something the AI doesn't know?
The agent escalates gracefully. When a caller asks something outside the agent's knowledge, it has several options depending on how you configure it: transfer the call to a live team member with a full call summary, offer to take a message and have someone call back, or let the caller know the team will follow up. The agent never makes up information. It handles knowledge gaps cleanly, and every gap is logged so we can update the agent's knowledge base.
Does it work with my current phone system?
Yes. WildRun agents work with your existing phone number — you do not need to change your number, purchase new hardware, or switch phone providers. We route calls through the agent using your current number. The agent integrates with most major phone systems and VoIP providers, including RingCentral, Vonage, 8x8, and standard landlines.
How do I track performance?
Every call is recorded, transcribed, and summarized automatically. You get access to a dashboard with full call logs, key metrics (call volume, booking rate, escalation rate, average handle time), and monthly performance reports. We also flag unusual patterns — a spike in a particular question, for example, often signals a gap in your website or a new staff FAQ to address.
What industries do you serve?
WildRun builds custom AI voice agents for dental and medical clinics, law firms, real estate agencies, restaurants and hospitality businesses, e-commerce and retail brands, home services companies, and other service businesses that receive regular phone inquiries. Every agent is custom-built for the specific industry and business — we do not sell generic templates.
How quickly can I get set up?
Most clients are live within 5–10 business days of completing the discovery call. The process includes a discovery session, script architecture, voice selection, integration setup, testing, and launch. Complex multi-location setups or custom integrations may take up to 3 weeks.
What languages does it support?
WildRun agents support English by default and can be configured to support Spanish, French, Mandarin, Portuguese, and other major languages. The agent can also auto-detect a caller's language and switch seamlessly mid-conversation. Multilingual support is available on Growth and Scale plans.
Can it make outbound calls?
Yes. On Growth and Scale plans, your WildRun agent can make outbound calls — including appointment reminder calls, lead follow-up calls, no-show re-engagement calls, and post-appointment check-in calls. Outbound campaigns are configured during setup and run automatically based on your calendar and CRM data.
Is it HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. WildRun offers HIPAA-compliant configurations for medical and dental clients. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), use encrypted storage for call recordings and transcripts, and the agent is trained to handle protected health information appropriately — collecting only what is necessary and never storing it in insecure locations. HIPAA compliance is included on all plans for healthcare clients.
Can the agent book appointments directly into my calendar?
Yes. WildRun agents integrate directly with Google Calendar, Outlook, and industry-specific scheduling software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Clio, Follow Up Boss, OpenTable, and others). The agent checks availability in real time and confirms the appointment before the call ends. The caller receives an SMS and email confirmation automatically.
What if I want to cancel?
Starter and Growth plans are month-to-month with 30 days notice required to cancel. There are no cancellation fees. Scale and Enterprise plans may have annual agreements. Your data — call logs, transcripts, and contact records — is exported to you in full upon cancellation.
