Duplicate-payment cases,
with the evidence attached.
CashTrace turns an accounts-payable export and its invoices into reviewable duplicate-payment cases. It runs on a machine you control, and your reviewer accepts or rejects every case.
Who it is for
Recovery firms whose analysts build duplicate-payment cases from client exports, and outsourced accounting and AP firms that review past payments for their clients. CashTrace prepares the case. Your people decide what it means.
What one case contains
- The payment rows involved, with the rule that matched them and how they differ.
- Excerpts from the supporting invoices, with page references.
- A calculation you can reproduce, and the evidence that is still missing.
- Other explanations to rule out, such as installments, recurring invoices or reversals.
- An HTML and JSON packet per case, so the work can be checked and filed.
Payments across separate legal entities are never merged. Cases with incomplete evidence are labelled that way instead of guessed.
The pilot
| Input | One historical transaction export (CSV) from a finished engagement, its vendor master, and up to 50 supporting invoice PDFs. Engagements with known answers work best. |
|---|---|
| Where it runs | On a machine you control, or on ours with no outbound network. No document leaves the workspace without your written authorization. |
| What you get | A packet for every candidate case, plus a written comparison of preparation time and correctness against your current process on the same cases, with the raw timing data. |
| Your time | An analyst reviews each case in the local interface: accept, reject or request evidence. About four hours in total. |
| Duration | 10 working days from data receipt. |
| Price | $1,000 fixed, invoiced on delivery of the comparison. No contingency fee, and no share of any recovery. |
Before we start, we agree how the comparison is measured: which of your cases count, how your current preparation time is recorded, and how rejected or missed cases count against us. If the pilot falls short, you still keep the comparison and every packet.
What it does not do
CashTrace does not contact suppliers, collect recoveries, connect to your ERP or change vendor or bank data. It never marks cash as recovered on its own. Supplier statements, contract terms, rebates and pricing errors are out of scope.
Where it stands
CashTrace is new. So far it has been evaluated on synthetic test files, not client data. The pilot is how it gets measured on a real, finished engagement, against your own process.
